The upper lid, lids of the case and movement has a squirrel hallmark, "0.583". the case and movement lids are marked: "38179", "14К". The upper lid is marked, "79". The remontoir has a squirrel hallmark.

Mechanical pocket watch in a smooth round gold case, with three lids, a ring (missing) and a winding crown. The upper lid bears a raised depiction of the small National Emblem of the Russian Empire: a double-headed eagle with three coronets and flowing ribbons of the Order of St Andrew in blue enamel, holding a scepter and orb in its claws. An inscription is on cuvette “Pavel Bure [Paul Buhre], supplier of His Majesty Court No 38179”.

The dial is white enameled; the numerals of the hours' scale are black, and the extant hours' hand is gold (the minute and the second hands are missing). The dial with two scales: the minutes' scale is divided into 60 graduations with Arabic numerals; the hours' scale is divided into 12 graduations with Roman numerals, and a smaller seconds' scale with Arabic numerals.

The watch with a pierced bimetallic balance wheel with screws, spring-powered lever escapement, hours, minutes and seconds indication, and remontoir.
