Circular, the hinged front cover enamelled with Imperial double-headed eagle beneath a blue champlevé enamelled ribbon, opening to reveal a white enamel dial, with Roman numerals,blued spade hands, the back cover decorated with engine turned motif, opening to reveal an inscription in Russian 'Pavel Buhre supplier to the Court of his Highness No.37459', marked inside front cover, back cover and cuvette, also with Swiss control mark, in a fitted red leather case applied with the Imperial double-headed eagle and stamped inside in Russian 'Pavel Buhre' beneath the Imperial warrant, silver case signed 84(875), gilt lever movement, compensation balance. 

Jewelled gilt brass movement with Swiss lever escapement and Russian regulation, white enamel dial with black Roman numerals bordered by outer minute track and Arabic divisions, subsidiary seconds, days of the week and month.

The watch has been awarded personally by Tsar Nicholas II to General Yevgeni Ivanovich Alekseyev for excellent service in the army. The watch comes from his family estate. General Alekseyev (May 23 1843 – May 27, 1917) was an admiral in the Imperial Russian Navy, viceroy of the Russian Far East, and commander-in-chief of Imperial Russian forces at Port Arthur and in Manchuria during the first year of the Russo-Japanese of 1904-05.

Mechanical pocket watch in polished round gold case, with two lids, crown with a ring. An onlay relief monogram with stylized letters "ER" made of rose gold is on the top lid. Hallmarks are on the lid inner side. White enamel dial with the inscription "Павел Буре Сm Петербургъ и Москва", the designation of hours with Roman numerals, minutes divisions, two Breguet blued steel hands and a small chronograph dial with Arabic numerals and one hand are under the lid. There are three hallmarks and number "2950" on the rear lid inner side. A switch of the watch mode and hands' setting is on the inner side of the rim. A button that opens the lid, protected from accidental pressing, is on the rim external side. The watch movement with lever escapement, a regulator with an arrow and a scale.
